Gerber has announced a nationwide recall of some arrowroot biscuits made for babies after finding they may contain small pieces of soft plastic or paper, federal regulators said.

Gerber Products Company is initiating a voluntary recall of a popular baby snack for possible pieces of plastic and paper, according to a recall notice posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

While no illnesses or injuries have been reported, Gerber said parents and caregivers should not feed the recalled biscuits to children.
