By Jana Winter and Andrew Goudsward WASHINGTON, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Former CNN anchor Don Lemon has been arrested for his involvement in a protest at a church, his lawyer and a Justice Department official familiar with the situation said on Friday.

Former CNN anchor and now independent journalist Don Lemon was arrested at the direct discretion of Attorney General Pam Bondi after Lemon reported from a protest that disrupted a Minneapolis church.

Lemon was on the scene of the protest, livestreaming footage of the demonstration where people can be seen entering the building and chanting “ICE out.”
