The weekend is creeping closer, and with it, a snowstorm that is projected to dump multiple inches of powder on the FOX 2 viewing area.
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The first snowfall projections for this weekend’s sprawling winter storm are calling for 9 or more inches for much of Northeast Ohio, aligning with the winter storm watch in effect from Saturday evening through Monday afternoon.
A storm moving across the country could bring 1 to 2 feet of snow to parts of Massachusetts and New England this weekend. It follows an arctic air mass with dangerously cold temps and wind chills.
Forecasts for Missouri anticipate up to 7 inches of snow, and as much as 3 inches could fall in the southern states of Alabama and Mississippi. Louisiana is expecting up to 8 inches. Widespread travel impacts are expected with this storm.
